Welcome to our family blog

We have moved from our life long home in Idaho. Our whole lives have been turned upside down, and we are feeling a little bit disconnected. This blog is to keep our friends and family updated on what is happening in our lives in Livingston. I have found this site to be very calming and gives me some perspective into my own life. I know that with the help of our Father in Heaven things will work out. He knows what we need. As long as we are faithful and live the Gospel, we will be okay. "Okay" might not be what we have known "okay" to be, so we are also learning about flexibility. Life is a journey, wherever it leads us will be great as long as we are together and do our best in all that we do.

Hunting Trip over Labor Day Weekend

We went to the Henry's Lake area hunting for Labor Day weekend. Damon drove up to meet us so we were able to spend the weekend with him. What a blessing to be able to see him. I miss my boys so very much!! I wish Detrik had been able to get work off, but he is a working young man and has bills to pay.

Tom was elk hunting with his bow. Damon called for him. They actually did get into some elk, and Tom got a shot at one, but misjudged the distance, so missed. They actually saw a big black bear too, and almost got a shot but he scented them and left before he could get his shot. He was pretty bummed out.

Anyway, here are some pictures of our camp site and the boys. I think it's funny, we go camping and have neighbors, but at home we have none. The neighbors were really nice and were up from Nevada and Boise.

  1. I love your hunting and riding adventures. It's worth all the changes and differences from the 'norm' to be together-whole-as a family!
